Too Much Time
on Your Hands

New York, 4th September

So it's Labor Day weekend here in the States, and just the first Sunday in September everywhere else. And what are you doing? If my suspicions are correct, you are moving an electronic mouse around your desk, as you stare intently at images on your computer monitor. You must have something against being outdoors. Then again, it might be the middle of the night, and you, being safely ensconced in your home, are free to do what ever you like.

We must ask. Do you use your free time mostly to look at sexy ladies either on the internet, your television, or your computer? If the answer is yes for you, as it often is yes for me, then it is a safe conclusion that you do have time on your hands, and you spend it sitting down. You don't seem interested in doing something physical.

Well, there's a lot to be said for sports, or athletic efforts of any kind. You can be on a team playing softball, or part of a foursome on the golf course, or you can even attend a sporting event as a spectator. Anything to get you out of the house and outside is a good thing.

Then again, my preaching at you might not have the desired effect either. Maybe I can convince you by sharing some art with you. This month, we will have a look at a fabulous sporting artist, Malcolm Farley. He says, "Everywhere I look, I see these fantastic, bright colors. It's been that way since I was a kid."

This is not an artist who sits in a studio and creates. Farley likes to be right at the event; he paints as the event goes on around him, and in front of thousands of people who pass by and look over his shoulder. Talk about working under pressure...

Farley's work has drama, action, bold strokes, and most of all vibrant colors. His unique vision places you into the center of the action, and the art is exciting whether the subject is a team game or a singular piece of action.

Let's take a look at a long bout of sporting endurance where you can count on no one but yourself to achieve the goal of finishing. This is of course, a marathon race and Farley's painting is called Boulder Bolder.

If running that far is too tough of a chore for you, how about being in the gallery at a golf tournament where you can walk more than four miles in a day. I really like this one, The Pines, or this one called Golf, as examples of watching while on the move.

You want to see a team game? Why not go to a 'ball' game. How about baseball with Johnny Damon's Grand Slam? Check out Shaq stuffing the ball through the hoop, or this soccer player going for a header.
But whatever your sporting preferences are, there's no denying the stunning quality of Farley's art. Be it on the high seas, the Champs Elysιes, on the slopes or on a stage, Malcolm Farley captures the most exciting moments of any event he's viewing. His superb palette and imagery are breathtaking. Mr Farley, we salute your style, your energy, and your incredible talent.

And speaking of viewing, it's time to get you into action. Let's make use of that mouse and put that idle time to good use. You want action? We've got action, and dramatic beauty, and plenty of excitement — and all of it is centered around some gorgeous and sensuous women. So press those fast forward buttons, and we can begin.
